Control in the Workplace – it is a well known fact that a major cause of work related stress is lack of control and autonomy within the workplace. Therefore whether in an office, out of the office, in a contact centre or home working, systems of work should be fitted around the worker rather than the worker having to conform to the work systems. Health, safety and well being have tended to be a specialist interest in the union. It should be at the core of everything we do.
