Equality and Fairness at Work – part timers, staff with disabilities, ethnic minority staff do worse in terms of disciplinary action and report markings. This has been true for years yet there has been no national campaign to publicise this nor counter this discrimination. The union must make it a principle that all HR polices are actually delivered in a fair and equal way for all staff. This means of course that the current three box appraisal system has to be scrapped.
