Steve Battlemuch, currently a very well paid full PCS time official and Labour Party councillor, former grade 7 member of the civil service, former CPSA activist, has voted for cuts in Nottingham Council’s budget.

The intellectual tone of this excuse is captured by ‘I reluctantly voted for this budget out of loyalty to my colleagues in the Labour Group, not out of conviction that it’s the best we can do’.

Obviously loyalty to his constituents and the council work force as well as to polictial conviction, came second.
