The wave of the future

As more and more NHS work is privatised and the funding continues to be squeezed, charities and private companies who take over this work will seek their profits through cuts in staffing and reducing terms and conditions. Such is the case with a dispute within the Turning Point charity. You will note that two unions are involved; Turning Point recognise UNITE whilst the majority of staff are in UNISON. Of course what UNITE should do is give up recognition to UNISON – but that of course requires having principles.
