The Socialist Party (SP) is the dominant force within PCS. Usually what they say, goes.
Therefore it was with interest that we read on the SP’s website:
‘Many teachers outside London – who also voted by a big majority in the consultations to support strike action on pensions – are disappointed that they haven’t been given the chance to strike on 28 March too.’ Please see:http://www.socialistparty.org.uk/articles/14164/21-03-2012/tell-con-dem-government-no-cuts
Of course PCS members overwhelmingly voted to take action but in their case presumably the SP claim that they were not disappointed as they have total trust in the unsurpassable, wise and magnificent leadership of the SP within the PCS. It is only in unions that they don’t control that members have doubts in their leadership.
