The NUT exec has voted not to proceed with a national strike on March 28th.
The “real” left voted for going ahead with March 28th dispute. There were 15 in favour of action with 24 against and 1 abstention. The reason for non action was the leadership’s concern that the turnout was not high enough, even though, of those who did vote over 70% rejected the heads of agreement.
There was a decision to consult London secretaries about a strike there on the 28th. Other regional action may happen as well.
