We are getting reports that some in PCS HQ are shocked at the speed the coalition of unions has unravelled after the 30th November strike. We find that surprising. That anyone placed any faith in the likes of Dave Prentis etc to see it out to the end is what we find shocking. What PCS should have planned for, but appears not to have, was that Dave Prentis, GMB etc would bale out. The situation we find ourselves in was wholly predictable. The union’s task is now to recognise the reality of the situation and get on with the campaign.
